Alright....friday was chilly with some rain late in the evening we ran dry fork to the end ...Saturday was COLD and we got snow..we started with the 2nd Mt trail cleanup which went very well 15 bags of trash a window frame and a tire thanks to all that helped wit hthe clean up..once that was done we ran a few trails...long run, union spring and a few others I cant recall without looking at my map..Saturday night was COLD and windy..Sunday we met up with those who remained and ran dictums ridge from the bottom which claimed a drive shaft and ALOT of winching lessons learned to get most everyone up then we ran 2nd Mt from the parking lot back to the Rt 33 where we broke camp and all headed back home except Mike D. I had a great time I hope everyone else did too.

So here is a link to my photo album. Enjoy. There are only like a gabillion of them. If you wish to print some of these, email me with the numbers you want and I'll email the full sized file to you. Be aware that each file is about 3MB in size. Most web based e-mail programs only allow for 10MB in your inbox....Can't wait to see y'alls photos!tinyurl.com/8hmfd

Yep, it was a really fun time. And thanks again Dave for putting up with us on Sunday! Michelle, those are some great pic, you're a very good photographer. There's about eleventybillion pictures, thanks for doing that! On Friday, it was hard to believe that it was going to snow on Sat because it was so warm. There were some definate temp swings there. Did anyone get a photo of that tree that almost killed Dave? Well, it didn't almost kill him, it didn't even hit him; but he can probably tell you what a falling tree sounds like in the woods.

Cool pics Chele, However (here it comes) I would remove some of the pics unless you like the possibility of a ticket. T4W and other clubs have been notified by the district ranger that you are not supposed to be driving on the ATV loading ramp. Using it as an RTI ramp is not a proper use and could result in a ticket. Also, the big dirt are to the south of Route 924 heading up to Meadow Knob is not part of the road system. Yopu could recieve a ticket for driving off the road. (Them rangers know how to use the internet) Hate to be the proverbial "stick in the mud" but someone has to be. It has been said many times, if uyou go to the GWNF, and you are having fun, you are probably doing something illegal. Go there for the scenery, not the wheeling. And finally, just because you see tire tracks, doesn't mean you can go there. I believe some folks in the SVFW got $100 tickets for being where they shouldn't have been.

Wow, that's crazy. I don't think anyone intentionally went somewhere that they weren't supposed too, not that that makes any difference. All of those spots you mentioned were obviously well worn, and nothing was posted. Evidently you really have go out of your way to know what you can and can't do at GW. I sure thought we were behaving.

If we went anywhere we werent supposed to then I take full responsability as the coordinater, navigator and map guy of the trip BUT be assured we went on no locked trails, no trails marked as closed to ORV and went to the house at the bottom of Dictums ridge before we went up, MY appologies to the club if I did anything to make the club look bad.

A true leader for sure, but we won't let you stand alone.
