Ran across a '84 CJ-7 that a guy was selling. The city was gonna tow it away if he didn't sell it by the 17th. He thought about calling the scrap yard to have them come get it, so I had to save it. It's got a Chevy 350, turbo 300 tranny, 205 x-fer case, ford 9" rear with mini spool, and dana 30 front with warn hubs. Needs rear driveshaft, mount the exhaust, rear brakes, some other small work. Don't have any pictures yet, my camera is being repaired. But if anybody wants to put in some work to get it on the road, I'll supply the refreshments. Might take a couple of days with all the parts on hand (which I don't have yet) so any help would be greatly appreciated. Work won't start until probably next week though.

I heard JeepinGoose works for beer! I'd let him do the brakes BEFORE the first one, however... ;D

EXTREMELY bald 32 MTRs. I finally got a set!! But the guy said he had 39s before. I was afraid of that. I believe Ryan Hobbs and I looked at that Jeep a long while ago. It was off of Weslyan Dr. or Baker Rd. It was missing a lot of parts, but was a great place to start. Please don't tell me that you didn't get that Jeep for free

Is was off off Va beach Blvd and Independance, which is sorta close. And yeah it is missing a few parts before it is road worthy. Jeepxj, I hope I didn't get the same one. Was it black with a full cage and a brown hardtop? I paid a grand for it- maybe too much. I do believe I got a case of the "project vehicle flu."

Yup, that sounds like the same CJ. I bet there was a broken back window in that brown hardtop.

Monday is a day off for me (Memorial day). If anybody is as bored as I think I'm gonna be, I live in the northern Portsmouth area. Cell phone 685-6027. I'll provide the refreshments. Anybody with chevy 350 or CJ-7 experience (or anybody who wants to help me wrench on a few things), give me a call anytime Sunday or Monday.
