Ok, here's a couple shots to get this thread going-
Build sheet (wish list!) scratch the True Hi-9 and D44 for a D60 full width front and 10.25 rear-
I swapped in a Dana 44 years ago, recently installed Tom's Bronco arts disc brake conversion with Ch#@y outers-
Used West Coast Broncos crawler box power steering conversion-
and recently swapped in an NP435 granny tranny and twin-sticked the Dana 20 for rear-low only-
Crate 351W 360 ft. lbs gotta collect externals!
All right Jay I'll be looking for payback this spring when I'm ready to install! heh-heh
Pics added 21Dec06-
10.25 rear 35 spline full floater, same as Billy's...
So much for the True Hi-9. What can I say it was free... ;D
Pics added 19Jan07-
Little stuff, hood shocks install-
Lower bracket-
I'm getting a little payback!-
Grasshoppah shoot da rivet-
Installing shock-
Done-
Can't believe I'm working on MY junk! Tomorrow I'll cut off 10.25 shock mounts and perches. Dave get ready for the 9". It'll be out soon...
Pics added 20Jan07-
Swapped in Wild Horses 4.5 Crawler coils. Definitely softer judging by the calibrated push down with hands test. I'll be building extended radius arms using Stonecrusher extensions soon. -
Coil spring compressors are worth their weight in gold for doing spring swaps-
Next I'm going to drop the gas tank (since it's empty) and fab some brackets so that I can push it up further for clearance. It's got a 2" body lift...

Pretty simple, just unbolt factory tank braces and weld higher on cross member-
Tank fits in like this now-
I re-used the factory tank strap, just drilled and tapped for bolts which were scavenged from tank braces. Had to persuede the strap to it's new (and shorter) shape, then cut off the extra length on the passenger side. Later I'll do a tank skid which will make the whole back area flat to the bumper-
Gained several inches of clearance, shackle mounts are now just a tad bit lower. Eventually, one way or another everything will be flat for sliding over stuff-

Prepping rockers for rock sliders-
Cut line-
Bye-bye rockers-
How it should be from factory-

Jeff's Bronco Graveyard 3 1/2" 10 leaf long travel springs with military wrap-

Thanks PaulC for helping me out with locking and re-gearing the 14 bolt! What a no-brainer.
Almost gutted-
Attempting pinion nut/crush sleeve torquing-
Oops!-
Now I know why they call them "breaker bars". They break; not anymore!
Yep that's a 14 bolt-
Pattern-
Thanks PaulC that was fun-
Radius arm extensions almost fitted, thanks Billy for hitting that while I was working on your trailer!
They'll be completely boxed up with 3/16" wall stock. I'm a little apprehensive about how much force the rod ends/thread area can take as in dropping off a ledge onto them. I think they will be the weak link, that means carry a couple spares I suppose!

Rear leaf springs are going back 4 inches-
Stripped-
Plate for rear hanger-
Need to cut rear of fender, top line-
Pics added 21 May-
14 bolt axle is going in-
Perches are tacked, need to make u-bolt plates, upper/lower shock mounts, make brake line. Drums look kinda funny, hopefully the tires will help with that, otherwise looks like disc brake conversion-
Gotta cut some sheetmetal for the stretch-
Pics added 22May07
Fabbed spring u-bolt retainer plates and made some more space in fender wells. Probably have to stretch inner wheel tubs also-
Pics added 23May07-
Swapped tires onto new rims, worked on inboard shock mounting-
Need to stretch wheelwells for sure. At least the tires are away from them a fair amount due to full width axle-
Inboard shock mounting-
Lower mount-
Pics added 14June-
Inboard shock mounting-
Rear axle is in except for anti-wrap bar and driveshaft-
Made the stock shackles greasable-
