Eddie, I was thinking of 33' now I'm wondering if I'll regret it later You'll only regret it, if you start trailering your Heep. I think 33's are a good "all purpose" size.

if you daily drive the jeep, go with 33s. if you make it a trailer queen, go 35s and bigger or go home.

My CJ5 is a "semi-daily driver".. I'll drive it on weekends...etc. However, I will always trailer it to the trail. It's just nice to be able to "flog it" and only have to worry about dragging it back to the trailer versus driving it home. Plus, it sucks driving a CJ5 three hours to go wheeling.. that's what diesel's are for.. Maybe "regret" isn't quite an accurate description for my dilema with the 33-vs-35 thing.. When I'm climbing in it and getting ready to drive it to work, I'm loving the 33s. When I'm getting denied on the trail, I'm wanting 35s. Maybe I should just have 2 sets of tires? ;D

My only regrets so far are not going with more lift, lower gears, taller meats, and either finding stock trac-loks or throwing in some lock-rights or doing up some lincoln lockers. Then again, it's money saved in the long run since I will make up for that during the axle swap and drivetrain/powertrain upgrades I have in mind. Got some interesting brainstorming going on with all this semi-idle time on my hands... wishing I could put them into effect and testing it on the trails Then again, I also regret not buying a buddies 'yota when he sold it that would have made a less-involved trail rig project Dave G

I get to add another one. I regret taking the chance on Interco tires for something I drive to and from wheeling.
Actually, I'm going to take it even further. I regret doing all the modifications I've done on the TJ, and not just building a mild buggy or dedicated trail rig and leaving the Jeep alone. I'm not sure about this dual purpose stuff, too much compromising on both ends.

I like the peace of mind trailering, but I sure miss many aspects of driving the Jeep to and from the trail.

Not putting the sway bar on before now. Installed it last week and had to use a set of TJ rear links because they are shorter. BIG differance. heck, I now almost dont notice the detroit until it unloads hard and i hear it.
Tony(Keith get used to it, It isn't that bad)
