The swing out tire carrier turned out way overkill. Still need to figure out a latch.

Glad to see you working on something J. What axles are you putting in it.

Keith, you can do it, all you need is a bunch of tools.
Paul, the axles are early 70s Jeep narrow trac 30/44 with 4.27s. I'll probably get a lock rite for the front, and the rear will stay open unless I find a really good deal on an ARB,

I like these minus the 'Renegade' part. They are what was original to the Jeep, but I'm probably not going to bother. The color is not exactly what I wanted but it was as close as I could find in a spray can; Rustoleum Dark Hunter Green. If the body parts were in better shape I probably would have bought some descent paint and used a sprayer.

Thanks, finished painting last night, and put the roll bar in. Will hopefully get the rear axle welded up on Monday, then it might be ready to roll!

Took my spare spare DS and cut it down, got the axle centered, and pinion angle set, then it started thundering so I couldn't get it welded......oh well, next Monday.

Spring perches and shock mounts are welded up. Took it around the block last night; first time I've driven it in a year and a half, felt good. Needed to raise the fill plug on the rear axle so that the wheel bearings could run in an oil bath. Got this weld in plug from ballistic fab.

Drove it to work yesterday! Still some little details to finish up but, it was nice to get it out on the road.
