He wont. I am sticking my boy in the seat beside him so we will have someone to keep an eye on him. Oh and he got his permit today so please show what you are doing when driving that thing through the woods. How to pick a line and that type of thing.
Oh and Keith keep you hands off it other than to help Adam work on it.

The shakedown run at Gore was disappointing. I blew the Hi press steering line then figured out the bolt I sheered putting on the front bumper was the one that should have been keeping the steering box top in place, so I wheeled for a total of 15 minutes. I've started the daily PB Blaster treatment so I can attack the steering box mounts and I found this www.c-rok.com/sb.htmlwhich I think is a great product, but I'm not sure how to get it mounted with the bumper mounts using the same space ... Today I jumped in the Heep to see how the boot works w/ the T18/clutch. It's not half bad, so if I can't get the Cherokee resolved in time for Starr on Sat, I'll just bring the CJ. With no muffler (now on the Cherokee) it's got a whole new sound - it's evil! ;D

Adam, if you scroll down a little you'll see they sell just the inside plate for use with a bumper mounted like yours. But if I were you, I'd sell it to its new owner and let him deal with that and the steering hose; seeing as how you'll be back in the CJ very soon.

I did see the inside plate only option, but I hope to use the full kit which captures the 3 bumper mount bolts, 3 steering box bolts, the one great big bolt aft of those, and the two sway bar bolts under the uni-frame rail as an even better bumper mounting surface - I'll find a good way to tie the bumper to that plate. I can visualize it, and I think it will work great.
Also the hose was replaced w/ a new one and is good to go.
Lastly, I expect to drive the Heep this weekend.
