Hey everyone. I was wanting to know if anyone is willing to help me do an engine swap on a 97 TJ. I am mechanically inclinded but i just dont have the room in my drive as it is sloped at a 45 degrees. The place i am getting the new engine at needs me to remove the old one first then the deliever the new one and take the old one away. If anyone is willing to help or know someone who may help i will help in the swap and also pay the person for their time and effort. Im in the VB area. Thanks everyone.

What engine is in your TJ, 4 cyl or 6 cyl? Where are you getting the new engine from? Is it a long block (engine block and cylinder head)? What about all the accessories (alt, intake & exhaust manifolds, etc)? I would be afraid to send the old engine away until after you get the new one in and running, otherwise, you might be searching for parts that were on your orginal engine.
Just my $.02

I agree with Chris about hanging on to the old engine to ensure that you get all of the parts that you are going to need,
Besides it sounds a little fishy to me that they would want the old one before giving you the new one. Almost like you will me out your old engine and whatever money you shelled out for the new one.
Just .02 cents more.
