I just purchased the Axial Wraith myself... I was a bit upset that it came without a battery... Right now I borrow my roommates battery to run it, but I need to buy one of my own... What batteries are the rest of you Wraith owners running and how do you like them? I'm thinking of buying a lipo 2s 5000mah 20c... Do I need that much battery, or are you guys having good luck with something cheaper than that? Those are what we are running I believe. Might want to get two, and obviously a good charger.

What batteries are the rest of you Wraith owners running and how do you like them? We got two of the 3000 Nimh batteries and a charger for ours. They work pretty well and last a pretty goos while. Batteries were about $20 each and the charger was $40ish.

Can you explain what you flipped to lower the stance please? How much change did it make? It sits so high stock that it flops pretty easy on a high speed tight turn. Keith, See pics below... The circled part is the axle side link mount, notice that the angled part faces the bottom of the axle, out of the box it is mounted the opposite way facing the the "Top" of the rig. I know this photo is blurry but you can see the 2 screws that allow you to take the link mounts off and flip it to the bottom of the axle. Here is what the RC4wd 50degree axles do, tighter turning radius... NECRO, here is the charger I use...It can do just about every type of battery. I picked it up at Hobbytown USA here in Va Beach. That looks like it would affect the control arm link length. Did you have to shorten it?

Keith, Not that I recall. I'm pretty sure I just disconnected everything, unscrewed the link mounts, flipped them, and then put everything back together....no issues.

I'm sure most of you have discovered this already, but go here www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-wraith/ for everything there pretty much is to learn about the Axial Wraith. Upgrades, customizing, etc...Also any other models of Rc Crawlers that are out there has a section. Willl

Wow how do they survive the submersions? Looks like a tough course...

That trck pull sled is cool! You can usually prevent any damage from submersions wit and batteryh some waterproofing of the electronics and battery,
