This is the last little snag i have until i can get the jeep inspected. changed out the flasher no luck. The all lights work except for front side marker lights and the front and rear lights don't blink? any help would be appreciated..i'm thinking ground issue..but looking at the wiring in the manual makes me more confused. I'm definately not an electrical guy. Thanks

Do the turn signals work with the headlights off?

Double check the grounds between the grill and the front turn signals. Can take a piece of wire ground it to the back/metal side and a good known ground/or - side of battery, should flash than. Also you will only see the turn signal indication on at the speedo and still no blink with bad ground to light assemblies. The rear tail lights work pretty good ground wise but may want to double check if still not working.

Also, is you body fiberglass or metal?

Good point about possibly being fiberglass. I read somewhere in his build that the jeep was repainted and would lay odds that the paint is preventing it from making a good ground. Meant to ask minibikepilot if were able to get all the driveline issues taking care of, that were inquired about awhile ago?

No all metal body....looks ike the blnkers and side markers are on the same circut...tried to trace the ground..looks like its all interlaced including he headlight...which has a ground near the radiator...weird...

The drivetrain is all set.got the exhaust all done...only other issue is that the tranny pan gasket was pinched or over torqued and leaks horribly....garage floor looked like a crime scene...ridiculous.. laying on your back on a cold concrete floor is highly over rated at times!!!!

Yes the side lights and blinkers are on the same circuit. The blinker has two wires, one for marker and the other blinker. But the ground is accomplished by the back of the blinker light grounding to the grill. If your using the original style screw it is to make contact between blinker and the grill. Sometimes this doesn't work to well unless the back of the blinker has a good ground. They can also work independent meaning the left or right could work correctly and the other in a no blink condition with the indicator light on solid in the speedo. There were some good write ups on Jeepsunlimited in the CJ section that covered this in depth. As you have seen on the headlight, might have to rig up something of the same to get the blinkers to work... Hope you get it working... tim
