ARB air locker Indicator light
For all of those who have an air locker and have ever had the frustration of pushing the magic button and find out when you are in a bad spot that the diff did not lock in. I have the thing for you. It is an indicator light on the dash that shows you if the diff is locked or not(ok at least if there is air pressure in the line but if you do not have air pressure the diff will not lock). I have had mine set up for years and have just become second nature. I flip the switch for the front diff, I see the green light on the dash and I know my front diff is locked. The system is rather simple it is a 60psi normally open pressure switch plumed into the ARB air line in between the control valve and the diff. That switch has a fused power source and then wired into a light assembly located on the dash in the drivers view. The air pressure activates the switch which in turn powers the light. Instant indicator light for your Air operated locking diff. Ok now what you will need to put it together. Sorry I do not have part numbers I scrounged my parts out the bone yard (yes I am that cheap or just that broke).
1x Indicator lamp assembly. (I sourced mine from Cane Electronics in Norfolk)
1x 60psi. Normally open pressure switch (you can get these from tidewater fleet)
1x 10 amp fuse or circuit breaker
1x 1/8” NPT pipe TEE (local hardware store)
2x fittings ¼” compression x 1/8”NPT (local Hardware store)
Some wire and connectors
Below are Picture from my set up and a crude diagram. Well there you have it. I hope you were able to get something out of this. Please feel free to share this with anyone who could benefit from it. So until next time.
