Got a little work done this weekend. Bumper almost complete. Unfortunately my little welder is no making full penetration welds. I accidentally ran my other truck into it and cracked a few welds. Oops. I also want to strengthen the receiver mount, but again I need a bigger welder. Doors and sliders are ordered from 4xinnovation.

Also finished up a ton of electrical work. New fuse box is in and the skeleton of all the accessory wiring is done. Even got the rock lights installed. Something is wrong with the controller so I have to go back and look at it. The lights are three color LED so they can approximate any color. For some reason blue is never going off limiting my colors.
Haven't updated this thread in a few days. Found a lot of rust on the rear fenders. Previous owner had bondoed over the holes without fixing the rust. I cut out most of the rust, sprayed rust converter on everything I left, and am going to bondo over it myself. Its not right, but the time vs return to fix it right is not worth it right now. It will not get any worse now so I can always go back and weld in new panels later.
I ended up ordering doors and sliders from 4xinnovation. I like the design of the product, but the quality honestly sucks. The welding is horrible. They will suit the purpose though.
I'm not a professional welder but I can do better then these welds. If I was selling a product, I would never have let this leave my shop. I think they are full penetration and will serve the purpose so I'm going to keep them. Just a little ticked off as I should have bought the trail gear doors that are actually cheaper.

Haven't updated the thread in a while. Fixed the rust sort of. I ground out the rust, sprayed rust converter, and painted everything. I filled the holes with bondo and smoother out the fenders. Not the "right" answer but it will keep the rust from getting any worse. I painted the truck orange. I really like it, but it did a strange texture thing. I'm going to have a lot of sanding to get it right.
Strange texture thing
My best guess is I didn't thin the paint enough and applied it to thick. Don't really know. Its actually pretty cool texture, I just don't think I can duplicate it for the fenders and the doors.
