Hey guys, Bob Leslie flagged me down on the road today and we got to talking and he invited me to the group so I thought I'd introduce myself and my Jeep. I'm Justin, I've been in Virginia Beach for a year now. I'm originally from East Texas, then I was stationed in Charleston, SC for a while and now I'm on the Eisenhower. But y'all don't care about that, y'all care about Jeeps, so without further ado:
2013 Gecko JKU sport. Started out in life with a mild 2.5" basic lift and some 33" all terrains. But that got boring... So I chopped my fender flares, added Poison Spyder's BFH series front bumper, 10k winch with synthetic line, Poison Spyder hood louver, and the Rugged Ridge Snorkel. Still I was not satisfied. So I decided that since the Navy wanted to pay me an absurd undisclosed amount of money at me to re-enlist, I would go crazy with the Jeep. I promptly ordered a set of Currie Enterprise's Rock Jock D60s with 5.38 gears and ARB lockers. I also ordered some Poison Spyder rock rails and the BFH series rear bumper and some 37" goodyear MTRs on 17" pro-comp steelies. After a couple weekends of wrenching at my Buddy John's house, we determined that the mall-crawler lift and stock control arms were done for. The initial plans were to do a real lift later but the state of the current suspensions accelerated the time table. A week later Metalcloak's 3.5" Gamechanger lift (ARB edition with the OME shocks) showed up late one night. Another couple weekends go by and the new lift is on along with the awesome Fox ATS stabilizer, Rock Crawler high steer kit, Offroad EVO's skid plate kit, and some new custom driveshafts from Greggory's Fleet Supply in VA beach and the Jeep is finally back on the road. It took me only a few days to realize I should have initially bought 40s. So I find a buyer for the 37s and order a set of 40x13.50 R17 Pro-Comp Extreme MT2s. Quick trip to Starr Motors and I've got them mounted. I've still got some more to do but for now the Jeep is "done" (although any Jeeper knows a Jeep is never done). I'll see if I can't post a few pics of my Jeep porn on here.
