I stumbled upon this forum from Pirate4x4 looking for wheelers around the VA beach area. I have been wheeling a 92 XJ for about five years now and been to URE, Potts Mtn, the Flats and Harlan a handful of times. I love wrenching on the XJ as I spend a lot of my free time doing that when the funds are available. Mainly looking for people who enjoy wrenching and giving a hand or looking for another set of hands. I have experience with everything except overhauling an engine.
Here is my most favorite picture of my Jeep in its early form at URE before they closed the beloved Rocky MTN Loop that had Kodak rock on it.
Currently it looks like this waiting for 35s. Have a lot of tweaking to do after completing a OTK steering.
I live in Lakeview Shores neighborhood off of shell road near Independence Blvd and North Hampton. Feel free to message me or whatnot, I will try to make it to a meeting you guys have to introduce myself. Meetings are at the Jeep stealership on N. Military on Wednesday?
Welcome maulnm15! You are correct, the meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at Southern Dodge/Jeep near the airport. We meet in the service department area of the dealership. That's an interesting rear bumper/tire carrier. I've never seen one that is attached to the receiver hitch, good idea. Did you fab that or is it an AtoZ product? (I see the sticker) Looking forward to seeing you on the trail! Chris

I made the bumper myself. I don't have any plans on removing the hitch so i figured i might as well build off of it. It has been a great platform for the tire carrier so far! The bearings and hinge came from AtoZ fabrication.
