First trip with the new gears and my just finished beadlocks. Lots of rain made everything very messy. Even the camping area was claiming tow vehicles Friday night. Hauling the rocks proved to be a slow heavy process but at least most of the rocks made it to the trails. I guess that's why it was called a work weekend though.

The crossing at Variety Mills (Trail 2) was running a little high. My 35s were under water at one point and a little water got on the floor somehow. Thanks everyone for your hard work. It was another very sucessful work weekend. I expect to order two more loads of riprap for various places, as well as 2 loads of big rocks (50-150 lbs) for obstacle piles on a couple trails.

Next time i know to wait 20 seconds for the water to wash back down and then throw the strap. I threw it to early and it washed back under the jeep. That was a good time. Everyone who didn't come to Sat camp fire missed a good time.

I'm glad I made the Sunday day trip up and back. It turned out to be a great day. Being only the second time to OR I just followed along on an early morning trail check (something Ridge) and then trail clearing later on (with a new great slip-and-slide hill climb). The guys "that know" will have to fill in the name details. This time I took my daughter's 99 Taco up there. It's stock on 31 BFG ATs. Had to admit, it's a fun challenge to take a stock truck out once in a while. Good thing the water crossing were a little lower on Sunday though. Fran

My problem would have been whether or not the interior ingested any water in the wrong places and fried the ECU. Yep, I can see where my problem would have most likely been on that video clip, but I don't think I would have tried to go as fast. And I would have to agree with you, Fran, driving something stock out on the trails can be a good challenge... but I wasn't about to attempt Dictum's during the 2nd Mt clean-up run with the junk tires I had on my junk!

Yea Like Fran posted, his group led my be did a timed run up and half across Findley Ridge for a possible Camp Jeep trail. The we were sent to clear a new trail to hopefully alleviate traffic jams and to add more trails. I think the NEW hill will be dubed TJ or Wildrumpus or something HILL Its not another CJ-5 Hill BEN

I'm liking Wild Rumpus, personally. ;D
Great weekend, everybody. Of course my favorite part was babysitting the backhoe. Hard job, but someone had to do it.
See y'all next month.

TRAILER TIRE UPDATE! Hey Don, I have 30 psi. in the tire and it is holding, I will leave it as I search for another like it. Nice job on repair, that type plug is a must for side wall damage. I will get a picture of it. Tom PS. Was that a plug kit you put together or bought that way?

I bought the plug kit as a kit. You should be able to find that one or one just like it at Wal-Mart or any parts store. That was the last thing I threw in the Jeep Friday!
