Getting this XJ D44 ready to throw under the Jeep for my Paragon run June 11-13th. Original budget for this thing was no more than $350, but now I'm pushing $500.... ;D ;D Got the axle from Josh for a GREAT price! Had 3.54s and a trac-loc installed by Paul C. for yet another great price! Well, first off, I removed all of the rusty brake hardware, lines, cylinders, etc... Took a wire wheel to it, to clean up all the rust/loose paint on it... Tried cleaning up the old brake cylinders which ended up being a waist of time, as I later saw that they NEED to be replaced.... This pic shows that they are no longer smooth on the inside, which pretty much guarantees them to leak..... All prepped and ready to paint! Like new again! Nothing a little Rustoleum can't take care of! Only thing left to do now is the brakes/cylinders and axle shaft seals..... ;D

Grasshopper you have much to learn.....always take expected project cost and multiply by 1.75. Then you find true project cost
