My buddy and I checked out a Rubicon at lunch today. It was sold, but we still picked through it. It was nice to look, and all the beggin' for a drive got us a polite, "That was my pager, I've got to run!" Oh, well.

Hey, Chris. I found the thing by searching inventory thru Jeep's web site. Hall was the only dealer between here and Haynes that had one. It was ordered blue with both black tops, auto., and the sticker was 28,570. If you want one it is best ordered. Jeep has no plans to ship stock inventory. I also understand that 80% of the model year have been sold. (Not sure I believe that one.) Plan to pay sticker as well. We also looked at the H2. Just too bad they won't honor my supplier discount.

I had a bad experience at Greenbriar Jeep recently...went in to see if I could trade my 2000 TJ (12k miles on it and in great shape) on a new rubicon...they only offered me 8k on trade in on it and they didn't even look at it . (BTW the trade in on KBB is 11.5 and it retails for 13k...and I bought the Jeep from them). I was really pissed off by that...I don't think I will be doing business with them ever again if thats the way they are going to try and treat their repeat customers. So much for trying to keep customers loyal I guess. Ken

Wow! I'd say try going back and ask for a different salesperson... one that wants to make a sale. That one obviously didn't. Or, ask for the new car sales manager and tell him what happened (especially the part about them hitting you with a way low trade in without having the used car manager appraise your 2000). Sometimes the salespeople are less than enthused about working up a deal on a vehicle they know they're going to have to factory order (and not get commission until it's delivered). So, you have to find a salesperson that knows he's still going to be around in two months. Good Luck!

Guess it's the southern hospitality that involves banjo music in the background...or is that just Jason coming up the trail...

Hey Norm, Got to drive one at Camp Jeep in Branson. Nice!!! Was an automatic but the lockers were easy to operate. One switch controls both front and back. Daughter drove a 4 speed. They had a short course with two hills, rocks, log pile and deep ditch.

Hey all, I was just checking out your site and ran across this post. That's my Rubicon you're talking about ;D. I ordered it back in June and it sat at the dealership for two weeks until someone told me it was there. I actally missed your last meeting by a few minutes, but stopped by and talked with a few members remaining afterwards. I'm actally looking to join your club even though I'm away most of the year. I would like to attend the VA4WDA meeting in Richmond on Monday (as long it is still scheduled due to the recent events in the area). Does anyone have good driections? I tried getting them through the website and Mapquest, but the address comes up unknown. Anything you could give me would really help. Thanks and I look foward to meeting more of you.

How small is this town? My buddy Eric called me last week and said he had ran into you at a building he was working on. I think he said Dendrite or Liberity 1. If you take him for a ride, he would take you to Maxwell's for lunch.
