I read somewhere that those arms would be stronger and get a better movement if they had a slight bend... I can't really put it in words, I'll have to draw it up and post... Some of the Monster trucks are running something similar.... You're not worried about coming down on them, "pinching" and then having them fold between a hard spot and a rock

Some of the Monster trucks are running something similar.... You're not worried about coming down on them, "pinching" and then having them fold between a hard spot and a rock The mainstream company's ie; Duff's, Tom's Bronco Parts, CAGE etc put a bend in them for turning radius. Also, when you retain the stock width axle and put on a longer arm, this leaves the attaching point inboard of the frame rail. I'm going full width so I can put the axle wedges where ever needed as well as frame attaching points. It may end up limiting my turning radius a bit but will hopefully save the d60 axle u-joints by not over-turning them. Anybody ever pop a D60 u-joint in a hard turn? I've seen it a couple times... Midyette Machine said they will rethread the arms for 1" rod ends if I end up having a problem with the 3/4". Rich, I bet you have access to a big press if I needed to put a bend in them, aayy? ;D

Dave, have you heard from the machine shop yet about the other arm?
Let me know if you'd like some assistance when you get it.

I've got one bolt to drill out and tap on a radius arm then I can put the front D60 in. Thanks Dan (Dane) for helping out with fitting the new wheels ei; grinding out the calipers to fit them! That was fun-on off on off on off!

Thanks Dane for all the help! We'll get back on it Monday if you want to.
Adam, your Jeep is looking good. I think those tires/rims look perfect on there! We're going to have to hit up Harold's sometime again! Harold? You out there? Ready to make some new trails? heh heh
