RIVETS?!?!? I thought you'd weld those pan patches in. I'd use some really short countersink-head rivets and then weld/fill it in smooth. Tha's jus' my $0.02 ;D Going to look good, though, once she's all done!

It's getting Rhino-lined so looks don't matter. The rivets will be plenty strong and the next time they need to be changed I will drill them out.

Yeah. Although, if you took the time and blasted the underside and primed/painted/undercoated it, you'd probably not have to worry about that much, unless it was exposed to seawater. Whatever works, though!

We are rhino lining the inside and outside of the body. That is why we dont care if the rivets are smooth or not.

And the underside has been coated, the pan was painted and all mating surfaces sealed with body panel sealer and the rivets were shot with sealant wet! ;D All way overkill for a rock truck but yes it will last a while!

Jim good seeing you today. It looks like you have found yourself a really nice girl, Congratulations! We will probably do a shake down run at Crozet when we finish putting it back together. I will get some pictures of the rhino lining in different stages as long as my boy Mike from Production calls me monday.
