I templated the tranny cooler spacer brackets to cut out and drilled mount holes in them while Rene fixed dinner (heh heh) so we'll have that cooler in tomorrow. We can use the starter solenoid, which is right next to it, for switched power source so that's easy enough.

well after blowing up the alternator, fixing it, fixing the gas gauge, fixing the tachometer, we finally made some headway on the tranny cooler instalation. Tomorrow we should have that all wrapped up and be moving on to the next project. Thanks for all your patience on fixing other people's screw ups. You are the sh--. Bring the rti ramp to my party so we can have a little show off session for some of my friends who have no clue what wheeling is all about.

Hey Billy don't mind if I pull the front axle next week, right? You didn't really want to show it to your buds at the party anyway did ya? heh-heh
By the way, the alternator was a $26 dollar fix (rectifier). IMO blown up would be go spend another $180 for a new one! ;D
Yea Fran Billy lives a couple houses down from me so you know I'll be drinking a few "special sodas"... lol

Heck with that ... a mid-90's Taurus 3G 130A alternator can be had from UWI PnP for about $25. $50 gets you a spare to carry just in case ... and once you swap out the pulley for a V belt pulley, they're basically a bolt-in swap on a lot of early Fords. ;D

Sorry Chuck 130 amps just won't cut it with electric rad fan, tranny cooler fan, engine oil cooler fan (to be added), stereo system (couldn't talk him out of it-it'll be nice on those drives to Hatteras!), winching duties (got dual batteries though) blah blah blah Overkill is just enough. yeah fran the bronco would be done by now , but dave has had to go behind a few other people's screw ups and fix them which has put the work we had scheduled on the back burner. But we know it's going to be right now.
Yes dave I would like to have it functional for the party, but if that means not getting anything done from here to there, then you know me, lets pull the axle and get er done.
