Where'd you buy the can of Herculiner and how much was it? That is definitely what I want to do to my BII... although, I am considering mixing in the proper color paint (unless you can have the herculiner colored?) so it looks "stock". The only thing I have to think about is whether or not to remove the heat shielding / sound deadening gunk that's underneath my carpet. Anyhow... back to topic.... lookin' good, Mike. You guys figure out the suspension height / lean thing and get that taken care of?

www.quadratec.com/products/product_search.php?kw=herculinerOne day shipping from PA. or Don says you can buy the quarts at Wall mart. The lean is still there I took some readings today and the passenger side spring is compressed 1" more than drivers? I took off the driver side front upper control to no avail. I'll try to swop the springs from side to side but dont see how that will make a diff, they were the same before I installed them.

If the springs aren't the problem, could it be the Trac bar? I think I heard that could be a problem of LIFT I read OME spring are specific to where you put them in. What kind of prep did ya do before the Herculiner? Thinkin that for my cj-5 and business end of the YJ.BEN

His trackbar is now in my garage so it's definitely not the problem.
Mike jack up the jeep until the springs are loose and measure them unloaded too.

If the control arms / links are all adjusted "the same", the only thing I can think of is if maybe there was a fluke mistake on forgetting to put something on that was supposed to go on, or maybe some parts that were supposed to go on one side actually got put on the other... or even something not installed "right"? Stranger things have happened! Not that I doubt you or Don's abilities, Mike... anything could be going on, even to include maybe a mount that's tweaked or some such. Could be just a matter of more weight on one side than the other, too. I like that Herculiner floorboard... and yeah... definitely going to be doing that. I just have to pull all the seats and carpet out and prep it and get the kit(s). I may have to make it a little thicker just to cover up some of the heat shield / sound deadening material that's on the floorboards.... not sure if I want to mess with removing that junk. We'll see. Only thing that sucks, I guess nobody offers it in blue, so... I'll probably opt for the basic black. Hopefully you get that figured out, though... would kinda suck to have a not-so-level-and-leaning Jeep

Ben Prep sucks. Pulled the Tufffy consoles, rear tuffy drawer full electronics pull all of the wires from the amps, crossovers, xm, wedge speakers, video wires from the cameras, air lines to the shock controller. removed the brake controller. pulled the wireless remote light controller. pulled the seats (need to paint the mounts) removed the rock rails to herculine the body under them so when I get them back from the "rock shop" with new side steps. pulled the transfer shifter (replacing). cut off the jack mount under the pass seat with sawzal. pulled out the rear seat belts. Cut slashed burned winched out the old nasty carpet. cleaned out the rust from the front floor boards and painted. Took a drill with a wire brush to all the paint to ruff it up and clean out 10 years of mud from half a dozen states, and remove $1.34 in change, hand full of misc screws. Then take a hose and filled her up. scrubbed and vac a number of times to get all the sand out. One gal was enough to go over two times. also the body for the rock rails, and also the underside where the rock rails are. Still have some left. Tonight I got the transfer case back in had to grind down the novac shifter to fit on the case bolts. part of the case was in the way.

Don and I are still working on the truck. Re did all the electrical for off road lights front back under and in. Removed the rear 9" cut off the upper control mounts and installed a Clayton truss. welded in Clayton frame mounts. For the control arms we used the old Currie front lowers for the new rear uppers long arms and took the rear lower j-arms and made them long arms. Installed a super short sye, lengthened the rear drive shaft, pulled the muffler out and installed a very small muffler with bolt flanges at the back end to be able to pull the bolts out of the control arms, the cat and muffler both fit over the skid plate. Built side steps on the rock rails. new front track bar kit, still to do custom high steer, front shock mod, exhaust shop for the tail pipe, rear shock mounts on the axle.
