Well, here's a couple pics since I've done a few more upgrades. Yeah, it's a lot at once, but the CJ sold, so after I paid some bills, I had a couple bucks left over. 'Tis about where I want it now, nothing pressing anyway. Just got it back from Paul C's yesterday, he installed the 5.13's for me. Thanks! It rocks now! Some armor from Rusty's, 1 1/4 JKS body lift, 1" BMML, 5.13 (don't they look pretty ;D ), Co2 tank mounted, and Eddie's bumper/tire carrier (he was able to add my cargo carrier on Thanks!). Oh yeah, I pained the headlight bezels black too, no chrome or shiny stuff on this one.

What kind of rocker protection are you gonna add to that thing?

None right now, I'm not willing to rack up the credit card. I guess I'm hoping the stock stuff will hold up for a little while. Maybe Cheryl will be nice and get me something for Christmas.

Okay, I'm confused as to the body armor and asking about rocker protection, I'm guessing it was directed towards rock rails or something, no offense! All I have to say is, WOW, Keith, you didn't waste any time and it looks GREAT! I hear ya about not wanting to max out a card... that's why I haven't gone nuts on ordering parts for the axle swap yet... but, that's probably what's going to end up paying for the suspension parts and tires although, all of that will NOT max out the card, thank God ;D

Ya the diamond plate looking stuff on the rocker panels is factory stuff. It's pretty lightweight, but it's something at least. If it gets be through 1 or 2 events then it will have done its job. Eventually I think I'd like to get some A to Z rockers, or maybe have Don make me some. I can't decide if I want frame mounted or the tub mounted kind yet.

Go frame mounted...IMO. Although I bet Don (or me hehheh) could make a stout set of body mounted ones, I actually like to incorporate the underside of body (pinch seam) for less movement. Yea I know-I'm a little busy right now...it's all good! Dave

I say go with both, of course the rubi already has body mounted. I recommend frame mounted for planned to use protection or body mounted for the just in case you hit it. I used heavy body mounted because I need some to cover all the factory holes.

Those frame mounted ones look really good, I like how they can actually be used as a step. But I'm afraid I'll be getting hung up and I'll miss that little bit of ground clearance, they take up a lot of real estate. On the other hand, I'm in the 'planned to use protection' category.

That's really nice Keith. I know a girl that got her unlimited done and I saw it in person...VERY nice. I would say that the line X in the doorway is a pretty good deal too since it takes quite a beating. She had also said her interior noise was reduced. How's yours?

I wouldn't say the it reduced the noise level a great deal, it did some. What it did do was take care of the heat problem. The floorpan and center hump got very hot, so much it would be much to lay your hand on it and leave it. Now it's just just warm. Cory, yeah sorry, but the guy that PM's me first did follow through and took it.

Fromme, nice clean job on that lineX Where did you get it done and how much? Would like to do that - then put the carpet back in. Cory, got a full set of tan vinyl (already cut for a TJ) that I had in mine for a short time. Drop me a note if you're interested in it. This is a link to what it is: www.quadratec.com/products/14049_204.htm

Mitch ...those Line X jobs look so nice...I wouldn't want to put the carpet back in! And Keith, your right about the metal. I took my carpet out and scratched it up just vacumming out the dirt!
