This is a good idea. Yes it is. I was hoping you would buy it so I can borrow it. ;D Doing this in a bench vise was a pain. I think they want $100 for that tool.

The iroks had a bunch of the stick on weights on a couple of them and they never fell off. I had to rip them off when i moved to the other tires. Also, i am running the iroks now with no weights at all and they are just a smooth now as they were when they were balanced if not a little better.
Good luck with them.

If they take that much weight, you could try breaking the bead, rotating the tire on the rim, and retry balancing them.

That's what we did, and why it took two hours to balance. We even swapped the tires on to different wheels tomake sure it wasn't the wheels.

Doesn't Larry's Alignment "true" tires? I hear it's hard to watch the rubber get ground off your brand new tires, but maybe that would help smooth things out?

Did you look inside the tires to see if there were big slabs of rubber stuck inside? Sounds weird but, one of my iroks had about a 10 ounce slab laying in the bottom. All i had to so was peal it off and the tire looked like it was supposed to. Never seen anything like it before.

Now you tell him to look inside.

I've heard talk of the 35" LTBs but haven't seen any advertised ... Those look narrow like the 34*10.50s - they aren't just re-labeled or mis-labeled, are they?
What is the tread depth and what did you pay (if you don't mind sharing)?
I've read many times that golf balls really do work (unless the tire is way out of round).

My 33" LTBs are the same way.. a ton of stick-on weights. I wonder if it would help to drive about 20 miles to warm the tires up and let them "round-out" from any flat spotting. Then, run them in to be balanced? I know mine flat spot like typical bias Swampers.. and it takes about 5-10 miles to smooth them out. I've only tested them at the Annual so far.. but they worked really well.

sell'em and go with TSL radials...looks the same, but the ride is wonderful for a mud tire...

No more selling for me. I am working on sending them back to Interco. I'll figure something else out. Just another one to add to my never ending saga and provide more ammo for the ribbing I am sure to receive. Feels like an earthquake inside there, no more Interco tires for me.

May I humbly suggest BFG Mud Terrains? Fair price, long lasting, smooth ride.
