Yeah.. those are still the stock springs.. they're sagged so bad, they're in negative arch. Those tires are 31s.
I just haven't got around to swapping in my front D44 and 4" springs yet. There should be plenty of room for uptravel when everything is finished... at least it looks that way in my head. ;D

Seeing that those fenders stick-out a decent amount How much flex (up travel) are you going to allow it to have. Looks like it'll be minimal especially if you go with the bigger meats. It is really taking every ounce of self-control for me to keep this build on course.. 4" SUA lift, 33" tires.. nice little dual purpose rig. Should have room with that lift and tires. Looking good Eddie! Core4wd: Well ShiiiiiiiiT, if I would've re-read the post I probably wouldn't have asked that question... What do you think? Besrk: Yeah man, as noted above I forgot about the lift etc... So, once you get this "Little Project" do I dare to say "Done" and you test it out what do you think the next set of up-grades are going to be? ;D Links? Bigger axles? Longer wheel base? hehehe You know it's only a matter of time before you go down that road... again. ;D Looking forward to the " finished project"

No more upgrades. I really want this rig for stuff like the Annual Run, Shoe Creek, Beach Runs.. etc. Something that's reliable, fun to drive, pretty capable and completely street legal. I want the lights to light, the seats to adjust and the horn to honk. ;D
If I want to full throttle, roll over...etc, I'll just take the buggy. I do plan on upgrading that to rear steer sometime. I've already got a GM steering D60 that I plan on upgrading with Longfield CVs and aftermarket knuckles. I already have a Howe dual ended ram, pump, steering valve sitting in the kitchen.

One last thing.. I've decided to shoot the hood with flames. Yeah... I know . Metallic Tangerine and a solid Plum Purple (for the tips and shading). I shot a test panel to get some ideas of the color layout..

It was already LineX'd when I bought it. I touched up a few areas with Sprayed Herculiner.. you can hardly tell the difference.

Just my 2 cents,......I like the middle flame the best, but it might get washed out in all that Lime Green. I would vote for the darker flame on the right. A deep purple will pop and catch the eye. You could mix the shapes, too.

I've been thinking about that too. Maybe some mixing/matching and intertwining flame "licks"... As if it's not difficult enough.. I saw some Youtube videos on how to paint "realistic" flames.. looked easy enough.

Can't wait to see some rock rash and rounded tire wear so you can prove you have a wheeling machine!!!
Just kidding, looks great. Fran

I might have to take it to Crozet to do the "shakedown run" prior to the Annual. I don't want to be "that guy" on the trail.
