I have loving named this because as hard as I try to KISS my jeep it does not work. I will update this thread with the progress and pictures once someone figures out what the build is. I ENCOURAGE ALL PARTICIPATIONS ( Ridicule and encouragement) If you can spread some light on what I am doing than please do so. Enjoy and let the torches start popping. sheppardfamily4.smugmug.com/gallery/7643156_U9LVS#493916094_jpY9j

Looks to me like your trying to beat Clint to a coiled CJ8. Nice set of towers and support bar.
Good luck on that one.

The show has a 14 bolt front axle. I would have loved to see the build-up of that one....

Norm go to Itunes and you can download it and watch it from there. It was a pretty trick way they did it.
Oh and Pat Keep it up man it is always good to see another way of building something.

Custom 3 and/or 4 link setup front / rear with coilovers? I'm considering doing that - at least the link setup, not sure if I am retaining stock-type springs, using coils, or coilovers... maybe not on the '87... I have a line on an already chop-topped '84 BII that I may do a ground-up build on instead (I know, I know... haven't even got the '87 even started good yet and already adding another project, right? ) Looks like it's going to be interesting Dave G

So, yes I have little cents and also little dollars.. I am removing the front leaf springs from my 82 scrambler and putting on a three link suspension. I started this post so those who have built link suspension can educate those of us who have not. And if I am about to make a bad decision on my build to get slapped around a little. I have a modified rear suspension calculator that I will post with my measurements but I am waiting to get some weights before I am done. I will do my best with post and pictures to walk the board through my thoughts and actions on the build. This way if someone wants to try it themselves there is a reference here.
Now that being said:: Ben they are RE 4.5 lift 2.5 width leafs and will work on your YJ Adam: I doubt a Scrambler owner wishes he had an LJ, ;)though it is a long needed addition to the modern jeep fleet the Scrambler is too cool. Also I am not sure you can call a truck on 38's a low rider, though I would probably spend less on a low rider.
I hope everyone enjoys the build, please ask questions and post information. This board has tons of VERY smart fabricators and we are not as arrogant or harsh as pirates Pat

SO here's s stupid question: whats your goal of this change? going from leafs to coilovers in the front but still SUA in the rear? is it for clearance, flex, or just a different suspension? whats the logic, and what height is YOUR goal, 3, 4, 5, 10 in lift? Just full of questions, WHY?
