well i sanded the surface rust and used some etch primer and will also use black primer with zinc in it. also i am going to redo all the welds on the frame tomorrow and then cut the mounts off for the track bars since i don't need them or use them and it will be less to explain to an inspector since their wont be any mounts missing things attached to them

You shouldn't since Bryan drove them everywhere. Not to mention if you are having the same problem why would you got get the same tire in a larger size?

Don't do a 3" body lift. Get out the sawzall and trim the fender openings, and get some TJ flares.

Yes no 3 " body lift!! Beg borrow or steel parts for a lift (like Andy) but do not do a body lift.

You could get away with a 1" body lift, and 1 " motor mount lift but NOT a 3". Then some TJ flares and see where your at. what springs and shackles ya runnin? WOW an 8.8, let me know how it goes, I have one in my garage from a few years back I thought about swapn. got 4.10s and discs, just need the motivation good luck. Ben

Isn't a 3" body lift 'illegal' in Virginia anyhow I don't think I'd go over 2" for a body lift - I'd probably opt for a 1" body and motor/trans mount lift and sheetmetal manipulation. Dave G

A 3" body lift is legal in VA. That's the maximum.
