Adam, try using photobucket. Then you can post the pictures directly in the thread.

I've got two projects I want to attack next on the Heep.
First I want to lower it some by re-working the leaf spring mounts. This is simple on the fixed end - just drill holes in the mounts ~ 2" higher, but it will be tricky on the shackle end especially for the front axle. I want to fab a longer shackle that mounts the top end through the center of the frame - drill hole, sleeve, re-enforce etc, but I don't have the fab skills. In the rear I need to make sure the traction bar geometry isn't dorked up by moving things. Anyone want to volunteer to help me out with this?
Once I've got that completed, I'm figuring out hydro steering assist ....

Well.... if you can talk him into buying Brian's welder

An update: This last weekend at Starr I managed to break the main leaf of the front right leaf spring pack, bend the tie rod some more, and increase the leak at the left rear wheel cylinder and at the steering gear box pitman arm seal.
I hope to have the Heep repaired enough for the Harlan trip next weekend. Craig has some leaf springs, I'll fix the brake leak, carry extra steering fluid and hope for the best, but I don't know what to do w/ the tie rod. How can I get it straight and how can I get it sleeved?

Either that or just hook a winch to it and straighten it out. Or pull it off and prop it on a block and drive onto it or or ;D
