Is the price the same for the trucks? Is a dually going to be a good DD for you? I vote for the 02 truck with 4WD If you're only towing one Jeep, get the tag trailer and a slide in camper.

No the 02 is a little more expensive but the owner has all the paperwork starting from when the truck was new. And i like the idea of a slide in camper. Well the dually would be an nice daily driver i think but its all personal opinion and candace will be buying my truck so we will still probably use that most of the time. BTW my commute to work and back is about 2 miles round trip plus to candaces when i go see her (almost every day).

I say go with the 02... It's a little newer, you know how it's been taken care of, it will tow as good if not better then the older 12v, and it's 4wd which comes in handy when your trying to get in and out of fields that we all end up parking in.
Go with the 18' unless you need a gooseneck. That way you have the bed for all the gear and spare parts. Doesn't tow as nice as a gooseneck but is easier to move if your truck is unavailable.

Yea because candace will have the 1500 ill be able to move the trailer with her truck, but the gooseneck is easyer on the road. I think ill probably go with the tag in the end.

If money is no object for you, then obviously go with the newer dually and a 20' gooseneck. Or better yet, I'll sell you a 34' gooseneck and then people can hitch rides with you. But dood, you're about to invest twice the amount in a truck and trailer than you have in your Jeep. You sure that's where you want to put the $?

If you can tells us more about the vehicles/trailers, costs, and what you want them to do for you, we can offer useful advice.
From what little I do know, I think you're looking at spending well beyond your means. I tow with a $2500 3/4 ton suburban and cheep tag behind trailer because I don't NEED anything more than that. Sure a new diesel, camper, and huge trailer would be nice, but what I've got gets the job done and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I tow with the same vehicle my wife drives to the store. I 'wheel a five hundred dollar XJ that goes where ever I need it to go. Don't make this hobby your life, it just isn't worth it.

I'm gonna mount a hitch on the back of my trailer, and haul 4 at a time. I figure I can charge enough to save up money for that transmission rebuild.

I will not be getting a new truck for a while (at least untill i get some more rank) and will be getting a18ft tag trailer sometime this winter. Just gonna wait for a god deal to come up or maby buy a new kaufman. Any ways thanks for the help but i think yall will agree this is the best desision for this time.
