I've been meaning to post this up for some time now... Steve Anderson built us a garage right behind our newly acquired house, at the end of last summer. It's a simple 24'x20', single story, detached garage. It's just about the biggest detached garage that the City of Va. Beach will allow in a typical neighborhood. Steve built it with a 16'x8' door, 10' ceiling height, and just a little over 5' attic height to store plenty of junk! ;D I would have liked to have had a little taller attic, but in Va. Beach, your detached building can't exceed the height of your house. I'll let the pictures explain the rest.
If you're in the club and are considering having a garage or addition built, I would definitely recommend Steve Anderson. He really cuts the club members an awesome deal!
Cherry Tree in the way!
Cherry Tree going away!
Cherry Tree and 1 Pine Tree gone.
Had to pay someone to take a few more Pine Trees down.
Steve started by yanking the Cherry Tree stump.
Footing dug.
Pouring the footing.
Block work started.
Block work complete.
Slab poured and framing started.
Framing nearly complete.
Shingles are on.
Siding and trim nearly done.
Slab cut into 4 sections to hopefully help control future cracking.
Motley Crew in new empty garage..
Starting to clutter it up, just like the rest of the garages around!
Test fitting the TJ
Test fitting the project Heep.
Upper shelves I put together around the entire interior perimeter...
8'x30" work bench.
2nd work bench.
Trying to get something together for Gore in May!
