This forum is so much nicer than PBB...
Maybe some folks would help if the requirements for helping weren't so detailed...

The club should put together a wrenching weekend. I am sure there are several people with projects. Is your Jeep mobile?

got a 79 golden eagle quadratrac..Need somebody to hook up the drive shafts and automatic gear shift from column to tranny. Help set the timing..other misc. stuff..basically it's almost all together, just want to make sure it's road ready before i figure out how I want to run my dual exhaust. . So if you know CJ's and want to make some extra cash let me know..Thanks. When you say hook up the driveshafts do you need assistance with measuring for them or installation of driveshafts or both. Check out tom woods driveshaft website 4xshaft.com/ for information. It isn't real hard to do, you put the rest of the Jeep together you can do this too. Is the jeep lifted, may want to look at a CV style driveshaft for the rear to reduce vibrations. If I remember reading other post you have an AMC 304, timing should be set at 8* BTDC will run great. Again something simple and you can do it... that is if the indicator is still part of the timing cover. The tranny should have linkage rod from the column to the tranny, if you don't have one, contact toynrnd about getting in touch with Kenny. Dual exhaust, good luck not much room there but can be done. I did this where the passenger side comes around and under the oil pan in front where it couples to the driver side. I had an exhaust shop build this for me for around $150. I can't weld worth a crap so this was my only option. It develops much better low end torque and works real well for clearance issue for the front driveshaft too. There are some good folks on this forum try to do somethings on your own,but if that doesn't work out, go to the next meeting and talk with someone and ask there. Not all members come on this board and might just be the needle in the haystack your looking for. Or you could ask to put your request into the next winch cable so that doing so might get you hook up. hth..... tim
