Well some of the sting has worn off; and even though something else has stung me recently I'm going to get on with things and not concern myself with drama, so I'll play around here a little bit.... I was playing around at Starr Motors (yes with permission) testing out some suspension changes that had been made on the white YJ. It was spring over, undergeared, a bit too tall, and twitchy on the throttle with the 5.0 and the auto trans. We had been making some significant changes in the right direction trying to find a balance between the right height, the right stability, etc. Things felt pretty good on the street so it was time for testing in the dirt. So at the end of the day I decided to try the newer hill climb that we had made the year previous. It was named Dentist Chair but I think the first person to conquer it changed the name. Anyway, after a few failed attempts I backed down, decided I'd give it a little more throttle to get over the very top. So imagine a high strung driver with an uncharacteristic heavy foot, a SOA on the tippy side, and a little rock at the top to pop up the front end and you get this: Click for short video, there's a couple S bombs so turn off the volume if that will offend you. No one was injured. But my YJ was destroyed. It's been parted out and sold and the rest scrapped.

Actually 4wd swapped it out. The cage was fun to get set in there.

Actually they filed a UPS claim and after a week of not hearing from them and unreturned phone calls a new one showed up at my garage door. Kudos to 4WD.com. I forgot to repack the winch remote so I ended up with an extra remote in the end. Yeah, this one has been on its lid before so some tweaking was in order via a bottle jack, BFH, and some 4x4s, to get the prefabbed cage to fit.

I'm glad to see you get back up on the horse. What is your cage measurement between the two uprights at the windshield? I need to get a dash bar added to my cage.
