Recently my clutch decided to stop working, the only time i can actually put it into gear is when I turn of the engine or force it into position when I am at the correct speed/rpms. I see it as possibly the throw out bearing or the clutch itself. How hard is it to get to? I have almost no transmission working experience.

It could either be the master cylinder on the firewall, or the slave cylinder on the transmission. How is your fluid level? Are you leaking fluid anywhere?

It should have an external slave on it so you should be able to see it move. If not what toynrnd said, fluid may be low. A throw out bearing will sometimes make noises when they start to go, hard to say since the hydraulic system is self adjusting unlike my ole CJ where if the throw out bearing is wearing play in the mechanical linkage will show up. If it is the throw out bearing the tranny will have to be separated from the engine to replace.

I looked it over and the part of the master cylinder that is inside the firewall that has a wire attached to it is free moving... I dont know if that is right or not.
