Who all is going to Oak Ridge next weekend for Wheelin' For Hope? I plan to do some trail maintenance on Friday, perhaps even Thursday if I can get the planets to align. If you are interested in helping out, e-mail me at toynrnd@cox.net
Thanks! Chris

Hear those crickets! I know there are members going. I don't think they are on the forums anymore.

I believe I have caught up on my sleep, and dried everything out. Thank you to everyone who came to the event...those who helped Tim and Liz do their thing, those that were trail guides, those that helped the folks who broke their vehicles. The trail prep day was awesome with beautiful weather. Saturday, the rain and sleet came. It was nasty wet. The breakage started early, within hours, right Wade (frame break). Several axle shaft u-joints that also took out ball joints with them, or vice versa. There were some dents. There was a lot of winching and strapping. The rain was slow and steady all day. Right after the raffle, the bottom dropped out. Over half the people did not return for Sunday's wheeling. The camping field was a muddy mess. So much so that I had to call Henry the Pumpkin Man who farms portions of Oak Ridge. He brought one of his big tractors out and pulled a truck and 5th wheel camper, a Class C camper, and Eastern Offroad's truck based camper out of the camping field. The 72x24 tractor tires really got the power to the ground!
