MUD... and LOT's of it! As Chris said, "Oak Ridge... just add water". I think everyone had a good time, and we worked HARD. For the first time, I got to use every single piece of gear I own, from straps to snatch blocks to winch, to chain saw to change of clothes to Advil. Since Nena was with me, it was good justification for having all that stuff in the Jeep. ;D

Dang! I HAVE a T-55 in the Jeep, and that's something I didn't get to use. You have ALL the fun, Ben! :-) I did forget to mention using the Hi-Lift on the plank bridge to change Danny's tire (the casualty on my trail). Was kinda cool... with every click of the Hi-Lift, the mud oozed higher between the planks. Chris - Positive e-mail? Let's hear it! I got lots of positive feedback from the guy in my group that won the Ramsey winch! Even the folks that almost (I mean really close) rolled their Rubicon seemed to have a great time. ;D Photo compliments Maryland Mudbugs - TJJohnI think the folks in my group that seemed to have the best time was this couple from Williamsburg that had an absolute bone stock, stripped down, '03 TJ. They had to be winched and strapped a lot, but he was always right there to help when someone else was having trouble. The wife did most of the driving... her first time off-pavement. They seemed to be having a blast. THAT was fun. Lyle

Wow, looks like my CJ has as much flex as a TJ when in that very same spot. I wonder if that driver's diaper was as messy as mine afterwards???

Since they were hanging there like that for about 10 minutes, they had lots of time to reflect on the approach angle they chose. The only casualty I saw was the passenger's chef's salad lunch. It became a tossed salad.

Well I had a great time even tho I broke the TJ before the JJ started It gave me a lot of opportunity to get some exercise walking up and down the trails, pulling cable and straps. Everyone said that they had a great time on our trail. We only lost one mirror on the ridge and one redesigned flair and fender on a Sahara. All I can say, it's not the mud that will get you but it's the little twigs. Anyone want to buy a plastic TJ? Jonathan

I know this thread is old but i just saw it. I had a blast but i wount be able to do it this year Its amazing how good it feels after along day on the trail even when its in the rain and mud and working hard to keep participants jeeps off trees(there was one oops). And by breif show on CJ-5 as the pic will show. how i did that on wet rock is kinda funny and i was so close to making it. To any one who hasn't been a guide i recomend it its a good look at the other side.
