Ok I broke my junk. First day pre run. I think the U-joint was on its way out. click click BANG. Ben is a great trail guide. Glad I was not paying to be there also. would have had to sell the jeep to get home. No really, Big thanks to Ben and his great other. For taking me to the parts store to get new ball joints and feed me on the way. (I know where the secret base is now) ( Broke driver side U-joint, ball joints pulled out, outer stub shaft blew apart) We got the ball joints went back into trail 3 to replace them and drive it out to the hotel. (Thanks Cris for the ball joint press)My biggest thanks to Steve for making the repairs, he had all the right tools and did all the work I need to bring more tools next time. Tried to order the axle shaft next day to be able to guide on Sat. They sent me the wrong shaft.( thanks Sam for the call on the next day parts) I drove home less one axle. Still trying to get the correct part. Over all had a great time , Thanks Paul and Deb for hauling me around, Tommy was as usual Mr save the day. after some rain just after the Z ditch on the down hill it was slick really slick could not stand up slick. We had the stock group and lowered the Jeeps down by rope. In low you would still slide down and slam into a few trees at the bottom. Tommy tied rope to the back of the Jeeps and we lowered them all down 12 or so.

Nice pics. You know what would really mess with all the Jeepers.... someone in a beat up, high mileage BII coming in and running comparably to them As if! I have much to do before I can "compete" with my rig. I got the low-down on how things are looking. I'll have a LOT of time to build up my rig and hopefully get some wheelin' in. I am going to try and make it to the meeting on Wednesday.... just depends on traffic and what time I get home from work. Guess I may have to take a change of clothes with, just in case ;D
