Anybody out there have experience with a Chevy Silverado 1500 HD that has a terrible brake squeal? I just got this truck and it's driving me nuts. I can replace the brakes, but don't want to put something else on that does the same thing. The brakes are not worn out so it's not the wear indicator just the friction material and rotors.
Thanks, Donny

When I had a Chevy one ton van for work, the brakes were loud from jump street. That was a 2000 model, but who knows? Didn't you work in the automotive brake industry?

Any bevel on the leading edge of the pads? That helps.

Go to ceramic brakes, costly but the squeal is gone.
