Did the springs mount on top or under the axle? This one they are on top. I dont know alot about them always messed with jeeps. How sturdy is the drive line stuff like that

I'm working off memory here from when I was going to build a Sami... The axle's originally were SUA (spring Under Axle) If they are SOA (Over) then it has been modified. The drive line is like any driveline... Depends on how you drive! General rule of thumb with the Sami axles is 33s "can" survive with open axles and some light upgrades but nothing over 31's is recommended if you have lockers.
A easy and somewhat inexpensive up grade is to swap a set of Toyota axles underneath. This has the advantage of a wider track width and larger axle shafts. It also has larger brakes for better stopping with larger tires and there's a lot of upgrades available for those axles. And if you regear the transfer case you shouldn't have to regear the Toy axles. Unlike a standard transfer case the Sami case uses part of the low range gears when on the highway or hi range. This has multiple benefits. Regearing the case gives you lower gears offroad and is generally easier to install in your driveway than axle gears.
This like anything else is based on what your intention's and budget are. There's a lot you can do and some are cheaper then others. Use google and see what you get for hits. There are some things that will need to be done before others and some upgrades that will be needed as things wear.
