I'm pretty sure my valve cover gasket is leaking. Anyone around here have any input on a replacement gasket? Does one brand work better than the other? And no, I won't be using cork. I have no idea if there were differences between the years on the gasket material and valve cover material. Would the valve cover on my 05 4.0 be plastic, aluminum or another metal?

Bryan did you guys put that RTV on both sides of the gasket, or none at all?

I would put it on both sides and make sure you go all the way around any bolt holes.
