Upon further inspection, the rear section of my frame of my CJ is rotten!! 12 inches from the end forward. Now here is the big question, do I cut off the whole rear section and graph in a new piece or patch panel it? I am not a huge fan of patches, but if I get consensus for patches, then patches it is. I have done frame repair on c-channel style frame, but never on jeep boxed style. All suggestions are wanted.

Been there. Find a good frame, POR15 it, swap everything over. Now is the time to make improvements and fix stuff that needs fixin. It is really easy to do a V8 swap with the tub off too. ;D

How sound is the frame forward of that point? If the rest of the frame is sound, and you have the equipment and skills to do it, I say cut and replace. Otherwise a replacement frame might be a better option. Either way I would love to see a build thread with plenty of pictures along the way.

The rest of the frame is good. I started picking around and found that it was not as bad as first thought. I started a build thread and posted the damage.
