Hello guys i may be getting a 98 tacoma for cheap but i gotta rebuild the front clip it was in an accident. So im looking for websites that are good for getting toyata stock parts as well as aftermarket accessories. stuff like body parts, solid axel conversions bumpers and what ever else you think i can use. Im not getting my hopes up because it seems like everything i try to buy falls thru but figure ill start getting a plan together if it actually works out. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok now the flipflopper is saying he is selling me the truck again. Hopefully tax money gets here soon so I can buy it before he changes his mind again. It's a 1998 tacoma 500$ needs new core support, grill, bumper, radiator, and a fan.

Good luck man. I will still give you crap. Oh there was a lifted exploder on Craigslist for sale. I saw it and thought of you.

Yeah good luck, it would be good to see you again and on a trail again! But wouldn't it be better to buy one with all that stuff already on it? Don't let it nickle and dime you to death. Or do you plan to make your own bumpers and such anyway? Paul Cleary always seems to know where there's inexpensive Toyota parts.

For body parts I've had the best luck on Ebay or the local junk yards. Tacoma's are old enough now that they are starting to show up in Pick-N-Pull. As far as websites for after market. www.inchwormgear.comwww.marlincrawler.comwww.allprooffroad.comwww.lowrangeoffroad.comwww.trail-gear.comwww.sleeoffroad.comwww.northwestoffroad.comI have used all of them in the past. I preferred Trail gear because they were less expensive than most. Marlin crawler for a lack of a better words is thingyy and a douche but he is the innovator of the dual transfer case. All pro has good customer service and Inchworm has some unique parts (like a drivers side drop gear driven transfer case housing). Slee I haven't used but I have seen a lot of their stuff on Ultimate Adventure through Peterson's over the years. Hope this helps and good luck with he purchase. And what engine does the Tacoma have? Hoping it's the 2.7L with the standard. Paul G.

Here's the run down of what it needs I just got done checking it out. I need to unmangle the driver side mount at the frame and then weld it back on(btw I have no welder now=( ) . Needs a grill, bumper, radiator, clutch fan. He has already straightened out the fenders and the hood is ok for now. So not nearly as much work as I thought at first. Until the title is in my hands I'm still wondering if the deal will actually go thru. I drove the truck around the block, it drives pretty nice shifts well just idles a little high because some lines need to be hooked up. I'm really hoping to get this deal done I've really been itching to start a new project.

It's the 6 cylinder with 5spd trans. If I could figure out how to upload a picture from my phone I would.

I would say don't waste your money on a stock bumper. Get the aftermarket one that holds a winch or build one off one of the winch mounts. You'll be ahead in the long run. And as far as welders go I'm sure there's a few hanging around that can be turned on for you.
