Justin and I are planning to make a trip up to Red Cloud Offroad Park (the place Jim Villers went to and talked about last meeting) to check it out and do some wheeling this Sunday Oct 5th. We plan on leaving my house in Great Bridge at 6am and staying the whole day putting us back in the area between 8 - 9pm. Anyone interested in joining in on the trip just let me know and we will coordinate. Feel free to hit me up on my cell at 757-692-2565.

Can't make the 5th. I would like to see more photos and get some more feedback from the place. I'm a sissy and want to know if you can get around the place and stay out of the mud...just trail riding and hill climbs through those washouts.

I would be all over it, but my parents are coming into town. How inconsiderate of them

Don't worry Chris. You can still have fun there while staying out of the mud. Of course some of the hill climbs are rather muddy after a good rain. There were a few that I had the 4 cylinders of fuel injected furry wound up tighter than a rubber band. Also keep in mind that they have it available to wash your vehicle off. So right after I sunk my truck up to the bottom of the cab I went right over and washed the mud off before it could dry. So with that said I would recommend take a change of clothes to make the ride home more pleasant. Well I hope everyone who goes has a good time.

We had a pretty good time for the first 2 hours then my Jeep decided it had enough and quit. After about 3 hours of diagnostics we got it running again enough to get out of the park and about 40 miles toward home before she wasn't havin it anymore and AAA took it the remainder of the way home.
As far as the park goes I would say if you don't enjoy mud then it really isn't worth the drive but take that with a grain of salt because I'd guess we only got to do maybe 25-30% of the trails.

Well that stinks. AAA has been giving rides to their fair share of T4W members lately.

By the looks of some of the pictures on Facebook it looks like the group had a good time this weekend at this park. Look forward to a full report at the next meeting. Jesse
