Right now I'll looking at a '95 Suburban 2500 with a 6.5 TD under the hood. My question is has anyone towed with one of these before? If so how was it? I'm thinking that it should be alot better then towing with a Jimmy with a 6.2 n/a diesel. Any comments or concerns about this setup is appreciated.

Why yes Craig. Denise did have one for quite some time.
The one we had was a 1500 with the heavy duty package. It towed the camper and the boat quite easily. I averaged about 14 to 15 mpg while towing either. I never did to the yota on the trailer with it though. Lots of room for stuff and comfortable.
We did have to replace the transmission around 160k, Dipstick tube broke and let most of the fluid out. Also put cylinder heads on it around 180k, they have a tendancy to crack. But they are readily available.

I'm going to be going to take a look and/or pick this up at 1 today. I'll try to post pics if/when I get it back here.

**EDIT*** took a look at it... the inspection is expired, the plates are way out of date, the frame has damage from wreck, the title has rebuilt on it, and some hillbilly welding was done on the damaged section of frame. as well as the tires are bald and the windshield has a crack all the way across the bottom... oh yeah... and the steering wheel is about a 1/4 turn off... guess the frame is still bent... back to the search!
