Hats off to those volunteers who helped out, collected money, bought food, hauled all that stuff down there, set it up, cooked, and cleaned up! Without you, there would be no picnic. Thank you very much. Things I learned: 1. GPS coordinates required for all future club functions. 2. Small motorcylces aren't just for the circus any more. 3. Dogs, no matter how small, must remain on leashes. 4. A lot of bugs tend to come out after dark and smack your windshield on the way home. 5. No matter how big a vehicle I drive, I will find a way to fill it with "stuff". 6. 31x10.50 Goodyear RT/S' get too much power to the ground...Beach-2, Durango-0.

Get a set of 30-12.50 mickeys With about 10 lbs of pressure you may be able to keep that thing afloat. Hey have another kid and then you will have twice as much. Trust me. Yes a big thanks to all who did the majority of the work for this picnic. I believe it was a good turn out. Lyle wheres the picks of out sand covered moto crosser.

What a great time! I second Chris' "Thank You" to the volunteers. Also, a big thank you to Chris for the tour of the Cape Hatteras beaches down to Frisco! ;D As Chris mentioned, sadly there was one member of the group who ran afoul of the law. His mug shot is below: Note that he learned his lesson and carried his leash for the rest of the weekend! Tony - I think the picture you're looking for is the one below. Also, check the new Caption Contest for an additional photo of the daredevil Beach Motocrosser!

On a side note regarding the Outer Banks beaches... did you know that continued vehicular access to the beaches is threatened? Take a moment to check the note in the "What can you do for the sport of fourwheeling" forum, or check www.obpa.org for details on efforts to protect our access. Lyle

Just a few more lessons learned; 1. Shells are sharp. 2. Wind will blow over a tent with a large man and his hard doors in it. 3. Seagulls will eat anything. 4. State Pres. will get lost within 300 yards of picnic site.
