Billy and I made it back fine. My passenger rear door matches the other side now and the driver door only opens half-way (again!). Gotta pull the fender back out! Billy popped a rear driveshaft u-joint after bouncing on the bottom of Heckler's. Good fusible link and it happened at the end of today. I guided VBJOR (most were Crozet newb's) and everyone had a good time with minimal damage. Only hard part broken was a tierod, which I had a spare so no problem. Thanks Sam (MPJAI) for the rollover show in Body Shop!

Yup..had a blast....very minor body scrapage for me...but TONS of GREAT moments on the rocks. OH, but AGAIN...a FREAKIN' rock hit my windshield on the way back...and I am not talkin' like a little pebble, I'm talkin' a massive boulder hit the windshield and put TWO cracks in it. I JUST had the last windshield replaced like....300 miles ago. Gotta love the aerodynamic Jeep.

My buddy tells me that most windshield chips and cracks are from following too closely. Chele, is this true?

I ain't even touchin' that, Norm.... ;D I have a feeling she may have been in the vicinity of a gravel hauler.... I remember one of my lessons in following too close... busted both headlights and chipped the windshield all to hell. Luckily, it was a beater piece of junk, for which I had some useable spare headlights for and another windshield for!
EDIT: OH YEAH... where are the PICS and VIDEOS!?!?!?! ;D

She was behind me in the convoy, I wouldn't say she was following too close I suppose. Usually all the rocks fling out of my tires in the first mile on-road and when one does it makes a racket in the fenderwell on the way out! I didn't hear anything before Michele's "oh, darn"! (not exact words lol) I think maybe one dropped out of a skid plate or was just in the road and I hit it...

Sounds like a good time, but that's expected when going to Crozet. Wished I could have been there. So Dave, did you recruit a few new members? I mean, did you convert a few over to "wheeling"? Maybe some went home having the MIBS bug. (Make It Bigger Syndrome)

Yes yes...I was probably following a little too close, but not really...I mean...Richmond traffic..ya gotta stick together. Here is my noble attempt at Drivetrain Debauchery......didn't make it. Maybe with some bigger tires next time. I have more pics, but haven't really slept since Saturday night since I worked all night last night until 11:30 am!
