you can use Cherokee coil springs on a TJ? Because of the weight difference of the two it lifted my jeep 3 inches. The only real mod that I had to make was the spring pads in the rear, and a front end alignment, all of which only took about 2 hours. It rides a little stiffer now, but for those of us on a budget it works just fine. The only real set back is that I'm thinking of going to 35's with 4.56 gear now. Got to love the ongoing upgrades.

What motor do you have in the TJ?

my concern would also be the driveline angles and shock travel lengths

my concern would also be the driveline angles and shock travel lengths i agree but only with the shock travel, i got a four inch lift and barely need a sye kit. or does a one inch t-case drop matter THAT much?

Also you can run ZJ coils in XJs and TJs and will give you a lift of 1-3 inch. Buy shocks accordingly.

Adam, you can check your driveline angles if you've got a vibe problem and see what you need to adjust, whether pinion up or down. The t-case drop addresses that but negates some of the reason you put a lift on it in the first place-for more clearance!

well the good thing is that even with 4 inches of lift and 35's i can still flex pretty hard. this is at ricks house the other day. Thanks Rick again for the trailer.

Karl.....I have the four banger decked out with bolt ons and custom mods. I don't really have much driveline vibration at all, but then again I haven't drove it more than ten miles. If I do I will adress that later.

All most forgot, the shocks for me last lift take away about two inches of travel. I need longer shocks.

If I do I will adress that later. I was wondering that because, I thought the 4.0 might make the front end sag a little. I have the 2.5 in mine and may give it a try after we hear how yours has gone. Adam, your jeep looks bald with your new light locations.

Well, if your just looking to bring the front up some more its the way to go. The front springs are beefier than they were before, it also doesn't sag as much in the front when the back is in the air.
