Hey guys, I have an '87 XJ and I want to swap in the 6 lug Dana 44s I got from an 80's Waggoneer. Are the yokes the same? How about for the front? It has a D30 now and I want to put the matching D44 up there once I swap brackets. When I swapped axle into the Ram I had to change out the driveshafts. I just wanna know if I have to do this or if the current u-joints/Dshafts will fit. Thanks for the advice

as far as know they are all the same, they use a 1310 series u-joint spicer part # 5-153-1x i think only the 3/4 ton 44s use a larger u joing, also when puting new u-joints in the front axle shafts use Spicer 5-760x; it is a forged 297 u joint that is supposed to be a bit stronger, the u-joint is the weak link in that axle and it usually take the shafts with it when it goes.
