Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this product: www.off-road.com/jeep/swb/articles/tksliders.htm? I'm running JKS front discos, but have never disconnected the rear sway bar due to all the many bad things that could happen from having those coil springs conpletely unrestrained. These JK Sliders look like they would give the rear axle a little more travel... but not too much. Any thoughts appreciated! Lyle

Thanks for the info Pat. From what I've read, your leaf springs do a much better job of keeping the axles under the vehicle than my coil springs do. On those occasions when I've left the front sway bar disconnected after a trail ride and driven on the road, it gets pretty "funky". Does disconnecting the rear on your's give you much better articulation?

I was refering to the TJ I once had.. . Ahhh... NOW I understand. I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes. Thanks for the info Pat. Just didn't want to be watching the rear axle out the side window. Lyle

Hey Lyle, I've talked to many TJ owners and they've all agreed that you don't gain much of any travel when you "disconnect" the rear. Are you hoping for more travel ??

you know we could test at the annual!! Someone will have the opportunity to do just that! As it happens, MuddyJeep.Com (makes of the TK Sliders) has agreed to be a sponsor of the annual trailride!

Does that mean someone is going to possibly win a pair? I don't really know how much more travel you really get but there is a tech article over on rockcrawler.com that states the difference on a ramp. But I have yet to see a ramp on the trail. I wonder what it would feel like with both from and back discoed on off camber. Jonathan

The article you mention is linked in the first post in this topic. The line in that article that caught my attention was this one: Another unexpected bonus of the TK Sliders was that it allowed the body of the Jeep to maintain a much more level stance. Sounds like it's just like having the front disco'ed, only more so... body stays more close to "level" while the axles are more free to swing with the terrain. On the other hand, driving a TJ with both ends disco'ed on the highway would terrify me. Front alone is squirrelly enough.

Lyle, There is actually another article about them at www.rockcrawler.com then choose tech on the left side of the screen and when that comes up scroll down to TK Sliders Rear Sway Bar Links under suspensions. See you guys on the 5th. Jonathan
