Hey guys, just got back from a long walk. My Cherokee decided to die on me! Thankfully, it seems like it will be easy to narrow down the problem. This is what happened... I turned the ignition and all the lights and everything just came on at once and then immediately I heard a "plink" and everything went dead. The battery is not even a week old, so it ain't that. I tried everything, no light, no ignition, no radio, no clock, no emergency flashers and no horn! Everything electrical died in one sudden "plink"! It has to be some sort of relay or fuse, right??? I popped the hood and nothing obvious was out of place. There is a row of relays over on the passenger side fender well close to the oil filter. Also, there seems to be a lone relay back over by the air box. It has a big set of wires going to it...is that like a main relay or a shutdown relay like with the Rams? Also, where is the fuse box on the XJs??? I couldn't find one in the dark. I don't think it is an ignition problem or the little switch on the tranny that prevents the vehicle from being started except when in park. Cuz with those, you can't start the vehicle. Right now, there are no signs whatsoever of any type of electrical activity on the vehicle; like there is no battery. I have some telling me that it is the alternator. But wouldn't that show a low draw on the battery light in the dash? Plus, I would have some lights, a buzzing, radio, emgency flashers...a horn. But there is nothing at all. Anybody got ideas? Thanks! I don't feel like riding my bike anymore

Josh I would start at the battery and Ohm the cables. Sometimes there are inline fuses, that would be the only thing that could kill everything.
P.S I have many tools 4 u
