I am running disco'ed now and while I do not mind I am concerned about the liability issue. Yes, the rubber bushing blew out but at the same time the ball joint separated. While I suspect the joints could be re-joined I do not feel they would last. I guess I could always call Brady Bushy but I really do not feel like dealing with them at this point.

It all depends on how and who you deal with at Brady Bushey. Supposedly the dealership was sold a while back (beginning of the year) then it wasn't. Not sure what happened, but to my understanding it finally sold. Anywho, it really depends on who you get on the phone whether they are really a Ford parts guy or the Jeep parts guy, your attitude and how you talk to them. My dealings with them have actually been pretty good overall. Word of advice, if they order a part and it's the wrong one, let your wife be the one to tell them they screwed up. It's worth it. But that's a story for another time.

Just called them. At $ 45.00 each I do not think I will be buying from a dealer.

Thanks for the link. They are cheaper but only by $2.00 each. After shipping they would probably be more. I think I will just go disco'ed for a while.

Might want to read this then. www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?s=776727192a37ed68a63a13c43a7d2b3c&threadid=44663Like I said earlier, I've driven a lot with mine disconnected. But if you get in a situation where you come out of the throttle quickly or have to get on the brakes, be prepared! Your TJ will ride much differently with the difference between a full and empty tank of gas. I know buying from the dealership really isn't what you want to do but think of the precious cargo that rides with you, your family. I think that they are worth more than what the dealer wants.

Thats the reason I am looking for replacements. I have driven this way at different times and while I know what it feels like my main concern is when the wife drives. I just won't let her drive till I replace them. I think I will post on the wanted board and see what happens.

Hey if the bushings are dead, how about poly replacements? if its the uppers, have no clue. Maybe bigger bolts or something.
