Last month there was a meeting organized by the National Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) and others in Richmond to explore the possibility of starting a VA group of off highway vehicle users(4x4 drivers, atv riders and motorcyclists). You can see a copy of the proceedings at www.nohvcc.org/temp/va_proceedings.pdf. The meeting went very well and a second meeting has been planned for this coming Saturday, Feb 21st from 10-4 at the Holiday Inn in Staunton, VA. On-site lunch will be available for $12.74. If you are interested in the future of off-roading in VA, please consider attending. If you plan to eat lunch there, please let Robert Blankenship (IronRydr@aol.com) (434)-962-1643 know so he can be sure that they plan the correct number of meals. If you are interested in the future of offroading in VA (as all of us should be), you should try to be there.

I think im going to attend. Think I got all my chores done BEN If you plan on having lunch or just the fact of attending, send Robert an email so he has a complete list of attendees. Quote from his email. "Fellow off-roaders, If you plan to attend the next meeting this Saturday in Staunton, VA and have not done so already, please let me know immediately. At this point, we expect about 50 people to attend. I need to communicate the final number expected for lunch by Wednesday morning. The meeting is scheduled from 10am-4pm at the Holiday Inn at Exit 225 (I-81) in Staunton. Rooms are also available at the Holiday Inn for $69.00 per night if you need to come to Staunton the night before. Each person will be responsible for the cost of their room and meal. Thanks to Bob Hammond, our facilitator for the upcoming meeting, we will have name tags provided for us at the registration table. Bob and I will be bringing an easel, pad, etc. for our use during the meeting. Other than that, I think we have the necessary supplies covered but I would encourage everyone to bring a notepad and pen. Please respond to: ironrydr@aol.com or to (434) 962-1643. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, Robert Blankenship"
