The 6" lift pack that I installed and combined with the 1.5 lift shackle, the rear is at 9" of lift I am almost afraid to take the winch out of the back. I think I am going to put the stock shackle back in to see if I can bring it back down to earth.

WHY do that, just means you need bigger tires or raise the front to level it off

sure you didn't get the 8" springs they just need to settle out. i broke one of my springs down in tellico so i just ordered a new set from rubicon; they even warrantied my old springs and gave me half off on the new ones. biggest they had was 4.5" so that should be just enough boost over the old 3" springs to clear my recently acquires set of 36" swampers.

Yeah, I am sure, they say Big 6" on them. Besides, the 8" ones have been netted 10+ inches pictures are at photos.yahoo.com/mntbchlook under jeep

Cool, so what size tires are you running and what size tires "could" you run if you regeared or God blessed you with a 4:1 t-case? I am trying to figure out what I want to do with the XJ still....

those are 32's and I normally run 33 Swampers and am geared to 4.56. I could probably clear 35's without a problem, but I want to get a beefier rear axle in there frist.

I like the rear, just the way it sits. Which springs did you get, big offroad, or Rusty's? I'm looking at the 6" springs from Ruty's for mine.

So which one do you like beter? Because i've been debating between the two myself. I'm leaning toward the Rusty's front and rear.

Looks good!! Can't wait to see it with the finished bumper, etc. I know the feeling about being to big, after finishing my spring over on 4.5 inch leavesin my CJ7, I am still pondering my sanity. On another note, I know a guy in TX who is selling a set of 37" boggers on black rims (8 lug) with 90% tread left (going bigger in his wagoneer) so let me know. I saw throw some TJ flairs on there and some scout axles and your set. Jack
